Vice President, Global Procurement ServicesJob ID: 193146Date: 18-Nov-2024Employment Type: Full-timeDepartment: Purchasing/ProcurementJob SummaryResponsible for the operational component of the Indirect Procurement organization, focusing on efficiently managing the procurement process with an emphasis on effective RFPs and contracts. This leader will collaborate closely with category teams, legal, legal operations, and members of global platforms. They will also work with other procurement groups to establish similar capabilities in interested areas. The role involves developing and managing the procurement process to launch a high volume of RFPs and ensuring the processing of effective and compliant contracts within CBRE's quality standards.Background RequiredEntrepreneurial business leader with a proven track record of success, capable of bringing innovation and new strategies to build out this function. Strong strategic sourcing and procurement background with experience in developing commodity strategies, running RFPs, and participating in contracting. Experience leading cross-functional teams on sourcing initiatives and negotiating service contracts across various clients, industries, and geographies is essential. Strong communication and change management skills, along with a solid working knowledge of best practices, procurement systems, contract management, and hands-on experience driving expense category savings solutions and process efficiencies.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the operational component of our Indirect Procurement spend and help establish our platforms.Work collaboratively with executive management, individual business units, and functional stakeholders to ensure alignment of sourcing strategies across CBRE.Establish beneficial working relationships with the Procurement Leadership team and stakeholders in applicable functions.Develop measures, processes, and tools to drive operations, including the use of AI and contracting strategies via tools like clause libraries.Develop metrics, including external benchmarks, to monitor performance and support data-driven decision-making.Develop reporting on spend, compliance, and operational KPIs.Manage complex projects from conception through implementation, including business case development and change management.Develop world-class category strategies for operational and strategic benefit to CBRE.Manage supplier risks and develop contingency plans.Create and maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers to reduce procurement costs and assure continuity of supply.Lead a highly motivated global organization that is customer-focused and agile.Understand and monitor key spending trends, cost drivers, market factors, and strategic importance of critical commodities to implement effective sourcing strategies.Contribute to CBRE goals for supplier diversity and sustainability.Develop procurement processes to ensure high efficiency and effectiveness, emphasizing speed and agility.Ensure adherence to ethical principles and standards of purchasing practices and Procurement Policy.Professional Experience/QualificationsThe selected candidate will have a successful track record of broad procurement experience with measurable results, recognized as an end-to-end procurement and strategic sourcing expert. A global perspective, strong analytical, organizational, negotiation, and conceptual skills are crucial, along with decisiveness and maturity. Strong business acumen and demonstrated success as a change agent and transformation leader are key criteria for selection.Specific qualifications include:Ability to communicate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide timely updates.Experience in establishing policies and procedures that adapt to evolving business needs.Desire and experience in leveraging technology, systems, AI, or automations.Fifteen or more years of experience in managing a procurement group with global experience.Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills to coach constituents within the organization.Proven ability to build a strong competent team and implement effective procedural changes to maximize efficiencies in sourcing, fulfillment, and contracting processes.
