Job Requirements
**In this role, you will**:
- Refine Business Reference Data Management & Support capabilities, help grow maturity and standardize reference data across the enterprise - Perform extensive data analysis with various data sources to determine the reference data mapping and implement necessary data value/definition quality improvements
- Analyze and document existing reference data derivation processes and data flows to capture optimal data lineage
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Developers, Information Architects, and business unit stakeholders to implement and recommend corporate reference data standards
- Partner closely with Data Management team to ensure consistent utilization of Reference Data and support Data Governance initiatives.
**Primary Job Responsibilities**:
- Solid understanding of data structures, databases, real-time integration patterns and ETL/ELT best practices.
- Responsible for ensuring enterprise data policies, best practices, standards, and processes are followed.
- Write up and maintain technical specifications, design documents and process flows.
- Elaborate user stories for technical team and ensure that the team understands the deliverables.
- Effectively communicate, coordinate & collaborate with business, IT architecture and technical teams across multi-functional areas to complete deliverables.
- Provide direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project.
- Assist in Data Architecture design, tool selection and data flows analysis.
- Work with large amounts of data, interpret data, analyze results, perform gap analysis, and provide ongoing reports.
- Handle ad-hoc analysis & report generation requests from the business.
- Respond to data related inquiries to support business and technical teams
Work Experience
Technical Skills/Requirements
- 5+ years of experience within a Business Analysis, Data Analysis or similar role analyzing property and casualty insurance data and supporting business teams in a shared service model, with demonstrated ability to analyze business data
- 5+ years of experience in determining and documenting data mapping and transformation rules
- Demonstrated knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance concepts and business data
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in business data definition, data profiling and quality analysis - Proven track record of results orientation, flexibility, and adaptability
- Technical expertise regarding data architecture, models, and database design development
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong Knowledge of analyzing datasets using Excel.
- Proficient in learning new technologies with the ability to quickly understand capabilities and work with others to guide these into development
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
- Knowledge & working experience with JIRA is an added plus.
- Knowledge & working experience with OneData and/or Informatica R360 is an added plus.
