.(CEN) AUTOMATION PROJECT ENGINEERDate: Jul 5, 2024Location: Monterrey, NLE, MX, 64520 Job DescriptionCoordinate, review and ensure compliance with CEMEX automation engineering guidelines, design criteria, specifications and standards during the development and execution of the basic and detailed electrical and automation engineering required for worldwide studies and projects, also considering the principles of health, safety, quality, cost and time; applying the methodologies, process and procedures of the electrical engineering department.Main ResponsibilitiesCoordinate, supervise and manage the development and delivery for construction of the basic and detailed automation engineering, as well as follow up on the schedules, which shall be completed according to the master schedule and correct any deviations that may occur. Manage the purchase of electrical concepts for the project and participate in the project startup up to stabilization and formal closure, coordinating with the other disciplines project team.Active participation in projects and studies through the preliminary execution of proposals for automation related equipment sizing and selection, including PLC/IO related hardware, SCADA related equipment, and PLC and SCADA application programming.Support the project construction team during project execution, startup and commissioning stages, providing immediate and effective solutions to ensure cost, quality, and execution time, with active participation during the startup and commissioning of the project in automation topics.Participate in the evaluation of global Electrical & Automation installation technologies and equipment suppliers to keep CEMEX standards up to date.Coordinate with multidisciplinary, multifunctional, and multicultural engineers and engineering companies during project development.Ensure compliance of all projects with CEMEX automation engineering design criteria, specifications, and standards.Participate during all stages of the project from engineering, purchases up to startup and commissioning, sharing the conceptual design criteria of the project and the equipment involved with all necessary parties.QualificationsLevel of Education: Master's Degree, preferably in Automatic Control or sufficient proven experience in PLC/HMI selection and programming.Area of Study: Administration, Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, with knowledge in automation equipment selection, control, and instrumentation engineering revision. Cement and Concrete Production knowledge preferred.Knowledge of PC Programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others.Specify Knowledge: General knowledge of CAD, AutoCAD, PLC programming software (like Schneider Unity, AB Studio 5000, Siemens TIA portal/Step7), SCADA programming software (like Schneider Vijeo Citect, Hybrid DCS, FLSA ECS, AB Factory Talk, Emerson Delta V), and Field HMI programming development
