Support the economic research team in analyzing macroeconomic and construction trends, forecasting economic and construction data, developing internal publications, and conducting research activities.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Collect and manage economic, financial, and construction-related databases.
- Analyze macroeconomic trends and forecast key macroeconomic variables (e.g., GDP growth, inflation, FX) and national cement demand for multiple countries.
- Elaborate monthly publications and internal/external presentations.
- Response to ad-hoc requests from top management and local/regional planning teams.
**Position Challenges**:
- Maintain databases updated and operational.
- Develop and implement econometric and other statistical techniques to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Engage in discussions with countries' business units about macroeconomic and industry forecasts.
- Monitor macroeconomic events and assist in analyzing and communicating key emerging issues or policy changes that could impact the business in the short and/or long run.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a forecasting framework for economic and construction trends.
**Qualifications**:
- Advanced English proficiency required (C1/C2 or TOEFL/IELTS equivalent).
- Bachelor's degree in economics or a related field.
- Previous work experience preferred.
- Proficient in data analysis and economic modeling techniques.
- Strong communication and writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, critical thinking ability, both independent and collaborative work capabilities, proactive and assertive approach.
