.Responsible for leading CEMEX's strategic procurement efforts for fuel & lubricant-related products and services on a global scale. The primary focus will be to optimize sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost efficiencies and lead the development and integration of renewable fuel sources across different countries.**Main Responsibilities**:- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies for the categories to optimize cost, quality, and reliability across multiple regions.- Evaluate and manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts and ensure quality standards and deliveries.- Monitor global markets, industry trends, and regulatory changes to anticipate risks and opportunities for CEMEX, emphasizing the integration of renewable fuel sources.- Drive cost reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements within the categories while complying with the Global Negotiations, Purchases, and Inventory policy.- Lead cross-functional and multinational teams to align Global Procurement strategies with organizational goals related to local needs, sustainability, and compliance.- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the categories' procurement strategies.**Position Challenges**:- Managing categories across multiple regions involves coordination with diverse stakeholders, differing regulations, and cultural differences, demanding strong communication and adaptability skills. Additionally, changing end-users mindset to explore new opportunities.- Managing and negotiating fluctuations in prices due to external factors and regulatory changes can have an impact on the cost that needs to be mitigated effectively. Managing and controlling volatility on the commodities pricing and product availability.- Meeting sustainability goals and compliance requirements while optimizing costs, particularly in developing renewable fuel sources.- Incorporating technological advancements and exploring alternative fuel sources, particularly renewable options, to drive innovation while ensuring operational feasibility and cost-effectiveness**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.- Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management specifically within the fuel or energy industry.- Ample and proven RF(X) and reverse e-auctions utilization.- In-depth knowledge of global fuel markets, supply chain dynamics, and regulatory requirements preferred.- Proven track record in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost-saving and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) initiatives.- Deep knowledge on Net Present Value (NPV) modeling and analysis- Strong analytical skills- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
