.TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.**What your background should look like**:**Responsibilities**:- Network and benchmark industrial best practices of Injection Molding processes to setup ideal state and target of such process at ICT.- Develop and maintain process and equipment roadmap for Molding Process.- Audit the processes at each manufacturing site regularly to ensure that FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) are done and followed, the KCC (Key Controls Characteristics) are well chosen, and the process & equipment capabilities targets are achieved.- Assist the plant team to develop improvement plan to achieve equipment capability targets.- Participate the development of global equipment standard and provide input of modifications to the standards based on audit and benchmark results.- Approve all outgoing equipment specifications, and any deviations from the standard prior to equipment purchase.- Organize and lead regional and global workshops to share best practice and lessons learned- Coach and provide training to Maintenance Technicians / Engineers and Plant Process Engineers on the assigned technologies.Qualifications:- 10-15 years' experience in injection molded tooling in the automotive environment is preferred including several years of selection and performance management of tooling suppliers.- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience- Strong technical writing skills for the preparation of quote packages and specifications.- Strong detail oriented and maintaining exacting standards.- Experience of managing a technical team- Effectively work with others, sound verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills.- Ability to provide performance standards, feedback and coaching to teammates and third-party tooling suppliers.- Knowledgeable of CAD systems/software for product and tool designs.- Excellent knowledge of injection molded tool design
