**Job Description Summary**:
The Product Support Engineer is responsible of the fleet line maintenance and engine troubleshooting of aviation engines; communicating business goals/programs/processes with customers and business segments.
She/He has the experience or expertise to solve problems specific hardware, either components or engine modules.
She/he is able to develop and execute objectives for self and others.
This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Function as Commercial Aviation Engines hardware field support expert to customers (airlines/operators/repair shops/aircraft manufacturers).
- As LRU Fleet Management Leader for the two most critical components (HMU & FADEC), he/she will identify and track in-service reliability, determines need for repair development or product improvements, develops and owns field control programs.
- Responsible to contribute to minimize potential customer operation disruptions due to in-service issues.
- Develop field plans including Service Bulletins, Initiate/participate in Technical and Project Management Reviews, prepares technical communications to customers, is responsible for accuracy of technical publications' content (Engine Maintenance Manual,
Illustrated Part Catalog, Service Bulletins, Component Maintenance Manual, Departure Records, etc).
- Lead initiatives for field problem corrective actions and reliability improvements
- In this role the LRU Fleet Management Leader works in coordination with Engine Systems Design and Integration (ESD&I), Design Engineering and Repair Technologies Engineering, among others, to solve and to anticipate field problems.
Due to his/her hardware ownership and responsibility with aviation operations around the world, it is required to be available on a 24 hours / 7 days a week basis, to provide support to customers.
**Required Qualifications**
- BS degree in related field plus 7 years of experience in related field or Master's degree in related field plus 4 years of experience in related field or PhD degree in related field with experience relevant to indicated position areas of expertise and knowledge of related disciplines.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation engines.
- Field Support experience on aviation industry or similar
- Hands-on experience on aviation Components, and/or Systems troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of airworthiness regulations.
- Experience on Aircraft Line Maintenance and Failure Analysis / resolution methods.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to guide and influence others.
- Fundamental understanding of the technology and tools relevant to the function.
- Demonstrated business technical written and oral communication skills in English.
- Ability to communicate with Senior Leadership.
