What will you contribute?
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Your deliverables as a Change Management specialist will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinating and providing support to the Change Management function for the company.
- Ensuring Change Requests are completed properly, following the proper workflow, all information contained within them is accurate and have all necessary approvals prior to implementation.
- Ensuring all Change Management Policies, Standards, and Procedures are followed throughout the company by requesters/approvers/implementers.
- Managing Change Management queue and answering inquiries from internal customers
- Analyzing Change Request information for quality and compliance to process.
- Implementation plans and Back-out Plans, discussing steps and gaps with the change requester and/or implementer.
- Update the change log with all progress that occurs, including any actions to correct problems and/or to take opportunities to improve service quality.
- Ensuring timely closure of Change Records with appropriate test results and Post Implementation Validation results.
- Performing change collision detection and working with requesters/approvers/implementers to resolve them in a timely fashion.
- Proactively investigating issues and liaising with external teams.
- Defining, measuring and reporting on Critical Success Factors and Key Performance Indicators for Change Management.
- Generating and posting of Change Management reports; examples include Daily and weekly operational highlights
- Performs other administrative duties as required including updating documentation, note taking, status reports, change request clean up, etc.
- Maintaining an awareness of technology advancements and IT best practice, e.g.
ITIL
- Manage conference calls with large groups including stakeholders in high visibility situations with demanding time lines
- Coordinate the implementation of major changes using prepared detailed Release Plans, monitoring plan timing versus actual timing, communication with implementers, testers and stakeholders and initiating escalations as needed
- Identifying process improvement opportunities
- Other duties as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
- ITIL qualified
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Analytical abilities, attention to detail, stability, responsibility as well as customer focus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a customer facing team
- Excellent Knowledge of reporting methodology, PowerBI and/or advanced excel.
- Good technical understanding across infrastructure, at a high level to ensure understanding of basic concepts
- 4+ years Change Management or Change Co-ordination experience
- Practical experience managing and coordinating large groups and chairing CAB meeti
