**Position Summary**:Conducts chemical analysis and maintain all chemical solutions in the factory and maintain the waste water treatment system.
The procedures used must be in compliance with all local, state and federal guidelines, to include, but not limited to FDA, MDD, ASME, TUV and ISO 9001**Duties**:- Test all chemical processing solutions in the factory on a regular basis to assure proper operating range.- Adjust or replace solutions to ensure compliance with requirements.- Interface with department supervisors, personnel and the maintenance department to ensure proper disposal of chemical wastes, in accordance with applicable requirements.- Receive regular updates on technology improvements, requirements, regulations, etc.
and then advise the supervisor and other management personnel of changes necessary to continue to operate efficient processes while meeting regulatory requirements.- Work and train operators, maintenance and tooling departments to ensure that the equipment and fixtures are kept in good operating condition to maintain safety and production.- Makes significant efforts of continuous improvement to achieve excellence: complies with SQDC disciplines and participates or leads waste-reduction projects.- Active participation of the SAFETY, CONTINUOS IMPROVEMENT and TRAINING initiatives, which include but are not limited to: A3 Certification and projects, STOP Observations, Monthly Safety Audits, SQDC board maintenance, upgrade and administration of KPI for the area, propose and execute CIP (Cost Improvement Projects), maintenance of LSW sheet, upgrade and maintenance of initiatives using Dploy system.
**Education Degree**:- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering**Required Experience**:- Three (3) to four (4) years experience in a related chemist position and (1) experience in environmental regulations.
Electro-polishing experience preferred.- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of regulatory and environmental requirements.
