In addition to our passion for safety and innovation, our culture is strengthened by our values of care, customer, collaboration and courage which connects us closer to the customers and communities we serve and makes us a great place to work.Are you ready to make your next career move to join our team as a Sr. Assistant Controller in Mexico City?Do you have a strong background in auditing?Are you able to assess and improve effectiveness of internal control processes?Do you have experience in deferred taxes?Are you familiar with Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS, financial statement preparation, and general accounting?Have you led a team?If you answered a resounding YES to these questions, then we have an amazing opportunity for you!Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage various financial activities within the company.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS.Manage and coordinate internal and external audits.Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and improvement recommendations.Collaborate with other departments to implement enhancements in internal processes and controls.Lead and develop the accounting team, providing mentorship and professional growth opportunities.Calculate quarterly deferred taxes in accordance with D4 and IFRS standards.Address financial inquiries from other departments.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting.Minimum of 5 years of auditing experience, preferably with one of the Big Four firms.Advanced knowledge of deferred taxes (D4/IFRS) and tax regulations is essential.Experience in preparing financial statements.Advanced Excel skills are mandatory.Proficiency in EPM for reporting purposes is desirable.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.Advanced SAP knowledge is a plus.Skills:Attention to detail and accuracy.Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Capability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proactivity and ability to make informed decisions.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
