Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge of new developments, products, systems and methods for the discipline, serving as a central resource for technical information and creative/innovative ideas.C.
Initiates and supervises development and maintenance of design standards, technical details, standard specifications, checklists and production procedures for the discipline.
Reviews/enforces compliance with standards.D.
Assures adequacy of in-house resource centers, libraries, publications, codes, standards, testing equipment and similar materials relating to the discipline.E.
Reviews and selects discipline specific analysis and modeling software.1.
DesignEstablishes/maintains procedures for assuring design and construction quality standards.
Is responsible for discipline quality assurance and assists quality control and quality assurance staff in areas of expertise.Signs and seals documents when Business Unit registration is not available.
In this capacity, provides design oversight as required by State engineering laws and rules.Serves as discipline resource in the company"designing for safety" program.Provides technical assistance during construction for problem solving when special expertise is needed.2.
Construction SupportReceives information of post-construction performance of completed projects, including operating experience.
