**Job Description Summary**: GE Gas Power assignments provide students with opportunities to work with experienced leaders in the following areas: Design Engineering, Chief Engineering and Training Office. In addition to challenging productivity projects, these assignments provide interns/co-ops the opportunity to build leadership and functional skills through challenging assignments, training, and networking activities.
**Essential Responsibilities**
Working under the direction of the GEIQ Gas Power Chief Consulting Engineer.
Trainee program assignments may include assist in preparing cloud-based information structures.
Work with Managers and CTHs on the creation of Learning Experiences
Define a structure to effectively manage the Technical Growth Model documentation and progress.
Aid in preparing presentation material and reports.
Communicate with other technical staff, both internally and externally.
Support in solving complex using sustainable and quality design solutions.
Adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively.
Enforce appropriate Health and Safety procedures and precautions
**Required Qualifications**
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering. At least 1 year to graduation (May '25)
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Communicates status effectively
- Fluent in English communication (written and spoken)
- Solid background on engineering fundamentals
- Good programming skills (Python, C++, Ruby, or any web-based software).
- Good Problem-Solving Skills
- Microsoft Office Tools: Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Familiar with commercial CAD & FEA software (UG/ANSYS)
