Lead development projects through to the production phase, administer the allocation of assets, resources, evaluating/monitoring costs and expenses. Oversee, monitor, and improve functional capability to drive performance. Direct, plan, organize and control the processes, regulations, procedures, and activities related to quality management, as well as guiding, monitoring, and verifying its operation and application to ensure compliance with standards and promote continuous improvement.CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS:Demonstrated experience supervising a team of up to 70 employees across multiple organizational levels and plants.Demonstrated ability to lead, drive accountability, and continually raise the performance of the organization and the QA team.Proven ability to lead and deliver projects while interfacing effectively with customers, other functions within a matrix organizational structure, and regulatory bodies (FAA, EASA, CAAC, etc.).Proven experience of problem solving, regulatory compliance, and advanced root cause analysis tools.EDUCATION:Minimum of 10 years' experience in Aerospace or Industrial gas turbine engine engineering (design, manufacture, or repair), achieving progressively increasing responsibility and results.B.S. Aerospace, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent degree. Suitable equivalent experience can be considered in lieu of an engineering degree.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/TASKS:Leadership and ManagementLead the quality team, providing guidance, training, and development.Establish quality objectives, policies, and procedures.Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry standards requirements.Foster a culture of perfect quality and continuous improvement.Quality System ManagementDevelop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).Ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, EASA, CAAC, and other certifications/regulations.Drive an effective internal audit program, corrective action process, and continuously improve their effectiveness.Monitor changes in regulations and update procedures accordingly.Lead implementation of new strategies to increase the effectiveness of Quality Systems.Develop and implement supplier quality policies and procedures.Evaluate and approve supplier based on quality, reliability, performance, and regulatory requirements.Process and Product QualityDevelop and implement process control procedures.Develop and implement effective problem-solving processes.Participate in technical discussions with key customers ensuring products/processes developed meet their needs.Promote Operational Excellence through Lean Manufacturing techniques, Process Validation, robust problem-solving methodology, Six Sigma, and technical expertise.Perform escape management procedures and lead teams to investigate the root cause of customer escapes and non-conformances as well as implement corrective/preventive actions.Provide support and leadership to Engineering in new product development and all Quality organization.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for new products.Provide strategic planning leadership by setting project priorities based upon company goals, anticipated industry trends, and emerging technology.Partner with Engineering and Operations to establish key business processes, document them effectively, and ensure that inputs and outputs are measured appropriately.Lead implementation of new inspection technologies to assure product conformance and effectively drive improvements in business metrics.Data-Driven Decision MakingAnalyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.Develop and maintain quality metrics (e.g., KPIs, dashboards).Use data to drive decision-making and process improvements.Communication and InterfaceInterface with customers, regulatory agencies, and industry organizations.Communicate quality performance to stakeholders.Ensure effective communication within the quality team.Coaching/MentoringProvide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the local QA team.
