Role Purpose The Regional Terrorism Manager is responsible for the development, management, and enhancement of terrorism insurance products tailored to meet the needs of clients in various sectors. This role involves analyzing market trends, regulatory requirements, and client demands to create competitive and comprehensive insurance offerings. The manager will also collaborate closely with underwriting, sales, and marketing teams to ensure that the product meets organizational goals while effectively addressing the risks associated with terrorism.
Key Responsibilities Design and implement innovative terrorism insurance products that address the diverse needs of clients in various industries.Evaluate existing products and identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring they remain competitive and relevant in the market.Conduct market research to identify trends, client preferences, and competitor offerings related to terrorism insurance.Monitor the geopolitical landscape and assess its impact on terrorism risk and insurance needs.Collaborate with underwriting teams to establish and refine underwriting guidelines specific to terrorism insurance.Assess and analyze risk factors to develop appropriate pricing models and coverage terms.Work closely with sales teams to understand client requirements and tailor coverage options accordingly.Provide expertise and support to clients regarding the intricacies of terrorism coverage and policy terms.Stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance requirements affecting terrorism insurance in various jurisdictions.Ensure all products adhere to local and international regulatory standards.Develop training programs and materials for internal stakeholders, including sales and underwriting teams, to enhance their understanding of terrorism insurance products.Organize workshops and seminars to educate clients about the importance and nuances of terrorism coverage.Track the performance of terrorism insurance products, analyzing sales data and loss ratios to gauge success and areas for improvement.Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on product performance and market trends.Establish and maintain data quality standards to ensure accuracy and reliability in all aspects of product management, including pricing, underwriting, and claims.Implement best practices for data governance, ensuring that all data utilized in decision-making processes meets the highest standards of integrity and qualityCollaborate with marketing teams to create effective promotional strategies for terrorism insurance products, enhancing visibility and client engagement, and identify relevant Cross Selling opportunities with other Lines of Business.Engage with external stakeholders, including industry associations and relevant organizations, to promote the terrorism insurance offering.Analyze potential risks associated with terrorism and develop strategies to help clients mitigate those risks through appropriate insurance coverage.Stay abreast of global terrorism trends and developments to inform product strategy and adjustments as needed.QualificationsRequirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related area. Insurance Industry, preferable.Understanding the preferences on risk types in each subline: CAR, EAR, Civils and CECR.Ability to identify problems and provide resolutions.Ability to work in teamwork & independently without supervision.Complex underwriting: wording manuscripts, multinational programs, reinsurance structures, etc.Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-moving and challenging environment.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point).Advance knowledge of the structure and content of the English and Spanish / Portuguese language.Experience 4 - 6 years in the insurance industry, in the business line.Understanding the preferences on risk types in each subline: CAR, EAR, Civils and CECR.
