Job Description - Civil Engineer Level I (MEX00SY):Responsabilities:• Development of basic and detailed engineering for mining projects, under the charge of a group of engineers.• Provide civil engineering services that meet clients' legal and regulatory specifications on time and within budget.• Initiate, manage and, where appropriate, provide On-Site Engineering Support in order to meet the requirements of civil engineering projects.• Perform civil engineering services such as: participating in relevant meetings, preparing progress reports, and following required verification procedures; • Ensure that the scope of the project is clear and that the changes comply with the project's change management processes.• Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.For example, drafting requisitions, conducting technical evaluations of bids, and supporting procurement with purchase orders.• Describe project requirements, including actively promoting work-sharing, where appropriate, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress; and ensure that the required services comply with Worley, its clients, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements, on time and within budget.• Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and your Client's requirements.• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in civil engineering.• Assist and support junior staff within the civil engineering team.• Communicate effectively with the civil engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Client.• Identify problems and issues, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for help when needed.Mandatory Requirements: • Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its clients.• A solid knowledge of the fundamental requirements of civil engineering and the basic requirements of other fields of engineering, such as the geometric design of roads, earthworks, hydrology, design of rigid and flexible pavements, hydro-sanitary installations in buildings, gravity drainage, canals and hydraulic infrastructure, protection works and diversion of surface streams, sub-drains, geo-radar in MINING projects.• A solid knowledge of applicable local and international standards and legal and regulatory requirements, API RP 1102, NOM-ASEA-007, ASME B.31 or others applicable to MINING where applicable.• Proficient use of specific civil engineering software such as: global mapper, kmz, Civil3D, Google Earth, Revit MEP, SWMM, Autocad for the design and engineering of drawings, calculation memories, definition of parameters and design criteria, study specifications, review of information, preparation of packages.(ESSENTIAL) • Proficient use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.• Substantial practical technical experience in civil engineering in the same or a similar industry, including experience in project work, on-site support, and as part of multidisciplinary teams.Education Qualifications, Accreditation, Training• Degree in Civil Engineering (Mandatory) • 5 - 8 years of experience in multidisciplinary projects in conceptual, basic and detailed engineering, both in pre-feasibility and feasibility stages in Mining as a plus.• To be considered, you must verify that you are applying directly to Worley Careers and not to another type of job portal.• You must upload your CV to your Worley Careers profile.
