Enertis is seeking a **Civil Engineer (hydro) based in Mexico City**. The role will report to the Director of Engineering. This position provides an excellent opportunity to grow as a renewable energy professional.
The principal duties and responsibilities include to perform conceptual and detailed civil design of US-based ground-mounted solar PV projects, including, but not limited to, the following aspects:
- Preparation and review of engineering design plans, reports and specifications.
- Assist with efforts for project permitting at the local, state and federal level, as applicable.
- Geotechnical and hydrological studies.
- Site due diligence and development.
- ALTA and topographical surveys.
- Grading, drainage, erosion control measurements, and stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP).
- Pile Load Testing.
- Foundation Design.
**Requirements**:
- Strong analytical and technical as well as problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform under high pressure and dynamic work environment managing multiple project deliverables.
- Advanced English proficiency is a must (written/spoken).
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, manage multiple concurrent projects, as well as external contractors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as task prioritization.
- A strong personal commitment to continuous improvement.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent; Master's degree is a plus.
- Three years of overall civil engineering experience, mainly in solar.
- Familiarity with ASCE standards is desirable.
