The Claims Business Coding Supervisor II is responsible for managing the day-to-day direction of the business coding (backend processing) support staff. This role oversees IRS-related duties, financial entries, EPIC security, transcriptions, claim file recoveries and other support functions for the entire Claims Department.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Performs special projects as assigned
- Supervises a staff of 8 to 15 employees
- Creates objectives and metrics for the business coding staff
- Manages budgeting for the department
- Provides coaching and conducts performance reviews
- Cross-trains employees
- Performs auditing functions and processes
- Integrates processes with acquisitions
**Education**:
- 4 year Bachelors Degree (preferred)
**Experience**:
- 0-2 years experience (preferred)
**Supervisory Responsibilities**:
- This job has supervisory duties.
**Functional Skills**:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple departments
- Strong understanding of the processes, the Claims Department and other departments within the company
- Advanced Claims knowledge
- Ability to successfully work in a high volume, fast paced, changing environment
- Excellent analytical skills
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, charting, etc.
**Compensation**
Compensation offered for this role is $0 - 1,200,000 per day and is based on experience and qualifications.
