.-Job descriptionThis job profile provides a broad overview of the Job Business Development and is not intended to exhaustively describe the job.The Business Development role is responsible for generating new business and for initiating and managing business development initiatives.The responsibilities of this role will include most of the following:- Supporting tasks to establish new business relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for all types of customers- Providing support to the communication new products, propositions and relevant market information to customers- Supporting distribution channel business development strategies- Supporting plans and strategies to generate new business as well as increase revenue for existing ones- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, which may include relationship mangers and product specialists, to maximise cross-selling opportunities for the bank- Participating in events, initiatives and activities to develop business opportunities- Protect the bank's reputation and ensuring an acceptable risk profile, whilst deepening your understanding of the client through credit and customer due diligence reviewsRequirements- Bilingual- Relationship Management experience at multiple levels plus a proven sales record- Proven ability in identifying and meeting customer needs through matching a broad range of products and services- Proven ability to deliver creative and flexible customer solutions.- Ability to understand customers business and the fundamentals of running a business- Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders- Excellent time management, planning and organization skills- Excellent range of communication skills, including written, verbal, and the ability to deliver compelling presentations- Strong analytical and selling skills- A good understanding of the market & market trends, competitive environment and regulatory environment.At HSBC, we expect our people to treat each other with dignity and respect, creating an inclusive culture that promotes equal opportunity.
