**Client Services Project Manager, Rapid Prototyping Lab**:

How Will You Make an Impact?
As the Client Services Project Manager, you will coordinate the daily operations of our prototyping lab, manage projects from inception to delivery, and ensure customer happiness.
Your leadership and expertise will be critical in driving the success of our rapid prototyping services.
What Will You Do?
- Coordinate daily operations of the prototyping lab, ensuring equipment, materials, and workflows are optimized; maintain safety protocols, compliance standards, and QA/QC.
- Develop and manage prototyping lab operations, including equipment maintenance, material inventory, software subscriptions, vendor relationships, and technical support.
- Manage prototyping projects from initial planning/scheduling and customer consultations to final deliveries and manufacturing handoff, ensuring timely and high-quality results.
- Work with product managers, design engineers, technicians, and the manufacturing team to translate concepts into functional prototypes and ensure all designs are screened and approved for manufacturing.
- Define project requirements, scope, timeline, and deliverables with customers and internal teams; communicate progress and address concerns to ensure customer happiness.
- Mentor and guide lab technicians, encouraging skill development and a culture of continuous improvement; coordinate with cross-functional teams to align lab activities with company goals.
**Education**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, industrial design, or additional relevant fields required.
Equivalent experience will also be considered.
Life sciences focus is a plus.
**Experience**:
- 5+ years of experience in prototyping, manufacturing, or related fields, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or project management role.
- Proficient using CAD software such as SolidWorks.
- Hands-on expertise in operating and maintaining advanced 3D printing and scanning equipment is preferred.
- Proven track record of managing technical projects within a customer-facing role; experience in the biomedical industry is preferred.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
- Knowledge of design thinking and strong computer design skills with in-depth understanding of manufacturing technologies, CAD modeling and iterative product design.
- Knowledge of additive manufacturing, photopolymers, and thermoplastics.
Expert level desired, general knowledge is minimum requirement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong management skills, including task prioritization and multi-project management.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to details and advanced problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with the molecular biology industry, equipment, and workflows is preferred.
- Understanding of CAD design, parametric design, design control, slicing software, and 3D printing processes (digital file preparation tools, slicer software, and gcode) is highly preferred.
- Experience in precision measurement and QA/QC is a plus.
- Expertise with 3D scanning and point cloud data processing is a plus.
