The ideal candidate for a Clinical/Applied Assistant Professor of Nursing will demonstrate clinical practice knowledge and experience, professional productivity as evidenced by sustained excellence and innovation in their clinical practice, and service to academic, professional, and relevant community organizations. The initial Clinical/Applied contract is 1-2 years, and subsequent longer-term contracts are based on review of performance and the continuing need for the position.Responsibilities:The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in baccalaureate nursing education, including experience in leading courses, programs, and/or tracks within a program. All faculty are expected to actively participate in departmental and college committees, advise students, contribute to student recruitment and retention, and actively collaborate with the department chair, faculty, and staff as well as clinical partners to effectively deliver the academic program. Additionally, faculty are responsible for course development, curriculum design, and assessment to ensure compliance with all curricular content related to AACN and CCNE standards.The successful applicant will teach courses in nursing in the classroom, laboratory, clinical, and simulation teaching-learning environments.
