**Job Details**Johnson Controls is a global leader in the development, manufacture and sale of a wide range of building technologies and solutions, including building management systems, access, video and intrusion security systems, fire detection and suppression systems, air systems, refrigeration and HVAC controls and equipment.The CLM Contract Manager will work in close collaboration with the Legal Operations team and other members of our Global Legal department to support the roll out and implementation of Johnson Controls' contract lifecycle management (CLM) system. The CLM Contract Manager will assist and support by (i) performing contract management tasks related to the CLM project and (ii) assist with updating forms, tools, and processes. In addition, the CLM Contract Manager may be required to assist with the review, negotiation and drafting of diverse contracts.The CLM Contract Manager must be forward-looking with a "can do" orientation and willing to develop a deep understanding of the businesses they support. They must demonstrate innovative thinking, work independently and proactively, and function as a trusted advisor to the attorneys and business team members they support.**Primary Duties**:- Support the Legal Team on the implementation and launch of any upgrades or enhancements made to the Icertis CLM system that are introduced to streamline and automate the management of contracts throughout the organization.- Review and identify key contract terms and create contract abstracts.- Advice on inquiries legal team has about contracts.- Keep track of important contract dates and milestones.- Perform research and analysis for decision-making and present synopsis.- Manage and utilize contract management systems and assist business units with proper document controls.- Prepare CLM reports and be able to report out to the project team and Legal leadership.- Assist and support the review, drafting and negotiation of agreements, including sales, service, framework agreements, and construction contracts in accordance with the company's policies.- Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal). Must have good working knowledge of legal terminology in English.- Law degree and minimum of **5 years **of experience in the review and negotiation of English language contracts, whether as part of a law firm or corporate law department.- Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and organization skills.- Process-driven, detail oriented, self-motivated, and analytical.- Willing to take initiative and be proactive.- Ability to build strong working relationship with colleagues across departments and seniority levels.- Ability to work equally well independently or in a cross-functional team environment.- Proficient in MS Office Suite products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.- Experience working with electronic contracts management systems (preferable, Icertis), is a plus.
