.**General Responsibility**:Provide assistance to residents with activities of daily livingaccording to the care plan provided.**Responsibilities**:- Provide assistance to residents with Toileting, Ambulation, Eating, Transferring, Bathing, Dressing, Personal Hygiene, etc.- Assure that residents are dressed appropriately when in living areas of the home or outside the building.- Assist and teach the residents skills in self-help in activities and daily living to maximize their independence and freedom of movement.- Performs all personal care tasks as identified in resident care plans and any treatments ordered by the physician for which the CNA is qualified.- Provide personal assistance as needed, requested, or required.- Respond to handbell or other signaling calls.- Assist the Activities Coordinator in carrying out planned activities.- Provide assistance with using, emptying, and cleaning resident equipment (urinals, bedside commodes, bed pans, wash basins, showers, chairs, etc.) as needed.- Assure residents receive their snacks and assist them at mealtime as needed.- Notify the Resident Care Coordinator or **SIC **when there is a need for medical attention of any resident or any other change in resident status.- Report any accident or incident to Supervisor-in-charge- Help maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.- Work cooperatively with all other staff and relate favorably to residents, their families, and visitors.- Be familiar with the confidentiality of resident information and adhere to requirements.- Be familiar with the Residents' Bill of Rights and assist residents in exercising their rights.- Maintain the strictest confidentiality while accessing protected health information necessary for the treatment of the resident.- Assure careful treatment of adult care home equipment and utilization of supplies.- Read and adhere to all Adult Care Home and employee policies.- Participate in any job-related continuing education as required by the Administrator.- Perform other related duties as assigned in accordance with licensing rules and the home's administrative policies and procedures.- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation as required in resident services, such as progress notes, incidents, changes in condition, appearance, and behavior of residents.**Job Requirement**:- Must be at least 18 years old- Must hold an active State approved certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the state.- Must have satisfactory criminal background record- Must be free of tuberculosis disease that poses a direct threat to the health or safety of ther documented by the 2-step method or chest x-ray if allergic to serum.- Eight (8) hours of supervised work under a Registered Nurse each year**Access to Protected Health Information**:The Certified Nurse Assistant shall have access to protected health information; as such access is necessary for the treatment of the Resident
