Job Title: Codes & Standards Engineer Location: Skaneateles Falls, NY (Remote) Duration: 6+ Months Job Description: Ensure our products comply with national and international codes.
Collaborate with NPD and Sustaining teams to interpret and apply standards for new and existing products.
Responsibilities: Resolve compliance issues with electrical, mechanical, and software teams. Define strategies to certify and list products. Conduct technical reviews to ensure code alignment. Maintain product technical files throughout lifecycle. Guide teams on design standards and codes. Submit compliance reports and review third-party documentation. Ensure user documentation meets required standards. Apply experience from regulated industries and medical device fields. Assess and apply codes to new product designs for certifications (e.g., UL, IEC, VDE, CSA). Education and Experience: BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 5+ years in the medical device industry. 5+ years in Compliance Engineering. Excellent communication skills. Self-motivated and high performance. Skills: Electrical Mechanical Medical Device Manufacturing Codes & Standards Compliance Preferred Knowledge: IEC/EN/UL 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-11, 60601-1-8, and 60601-1-2. Certifications (e.g., UL, IEC, VDE, CSA).
