Job Description: Director of Data and AnalyticsOverview: We are seeking an experienced Director of Data and Analytics to join our small but mighty team. In this key, highly collaborative, and visible role, you will lead the charge in building our data organization and establishing a data-driven and centric culture from essentially the ground up.Responsibilities:Define and build the analytics strategy, capabilities (and eventually, team) that support our cross-functional partners and Showroom's business strategy, establishing metrics and measurement strategies. Ultimately, you will play a key role in determining the short and long-term strategy of the organization!Work with product and business leaders to establish clear definitions of KPIs, health metrics, and reporting standards.In partnership with members of the leadership team and their departments, solve hard analytical questions/problems for the business.Ensure that the business understands its own health - and create the necessary dashboards/other visuals to effectively communicate these metrics; find growth levers, and identify opportunities for optimization.Learn the business, roll up your sleeves and dive in! Guide the org to finding and identifying actionable insights to help the business grow and thrive.Requirements:6+ years of experience in the Data, Analytics, and/or BI space with proven success in building a high functioning data organization.Experience taking a data org from zero to one strongly preferred.Ability to effectively present complex data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for taking on challenges and new responsibilities. Able to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. Enthusiastic about data, insights, and analytics models.Proficiency in SQL, R, and Python and experience with modern data processing frameworks and tools (ie. Looker, ETL such as Datachannel & FiveTran, DBT, Airflow).Experience with cloud-based data platforms and data warehousing solutions (ie.
