Eaton's ES AMER PCS ICD division is currently seeking a COE Engineer.
**What you'll do**:
**PRIMARY FUNCTION**:
The Engineer is responsible for to be a solutions provider for both customer's and the product line, as well as training and development of peers. This includes but is not limited to collaboration with customer's and field sales to develop highly customized and value-added engineering solutions, interpretation of customer specifications into actionable engineering design requirements, providing direction/guidance to fellow engineers and designers.

- **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
- Maintain familiarity with communications protocols, variable speed drives, solid-state starters, and electronic motor protection devices in order to maintain design standards.
- Support large projects to completion within deadlines with little or no supervision.
- Perform standard engineering assignments often representing a significant portion of a larger project for Eaton. Coordinate with other Eaton product lines and business units as needed to ensure quality of products to end customer
- Develop and maintain product line specific training and reference material.
- Embrace and drive a continuous improvement work environment, challenging the status quo to drive business process improvements that will lead towards more autonomous work.
- Support efforts to deploy standard company tools (Bidmanager, Design Automation, Mapics (ERP), Vista, C360) for ETO and plant Design Engineering Function
- Coordinate Plant ETO and Engineering parent organizations technical discussions to support Standard and Engineer to Order Drive manufacturing.
- ETO engineering activity for Drives related New product development projects controlled by Engineering US parent organization applicable for Mexico Site.
**Qualifications**:
**Basic Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related concentration from an accredited institution
- Minimum of three (3) years of engineering experience with electrical distribution products with 2+ years being with Configure to Order or Engineering to Order function for electrical equipment.
- Proficiency on Spanish/English languages
**Prefereable Qualifications**:
- Bachelors Degree
- Previous experience and/or knowledge of electrical distribution equipment.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other engineering and design software programs.
- Preferred experience on electrical equipment custom product customer solutions.
**Position Criteria**:
- Working knowledge of N.E.C., IEEE, UL, and various local electric codes.
- Ability to interpret both customer specifications and electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Utilization of substantial motor control product knowledge for communication with field sales, customers, engineering, and manufacturing personnel.
