.The Marketing Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data on consumers and competitors. This role will study market conditions to examine potential sales of a product or service and help the organization understand what products people want, who will buy them, and at what price.General ResponsibilitiesPrepare reports on findings while illustrating data with graphs and translating complex results into written texts that are clear and understandable.Gather information on competitors, and conduct analysis on their sales, prices and methods of distribution and marketing to thoroughly learn about the competition.Evaluate target demographics, appropriate distribution channels and marketing outlets.Analyze marketing metrics to gauge pricing and identify cause and effect relationships.Collect and analyze data regarding customer preferences, demographics, buying habits and needs to better identify market potential and factors influencing product demand.Collaborate with marketing department to develop appropriate sales strategies.Experience / QualificationsA university degree required (i.E. Bachelor's degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation.Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results.Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards.Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers.Responsibilities include:Price / value analysis of the VBU portfolio in end markets including Passenger Car, On-Road truck and bus, Agriculture, Construction, Motorcycles & Recreational Vehicles.Pricing forecasting and price maintenance support.Portfolio profitability analysis to support pricing recommendations.Analysis of volume and Rate Of Exchange impact on pricing.Support continuous improvement of the tools and data sources available to improve pricing excellence.Support other marketing / commercial excellence tasks as needed.Experience/Qualifications:Degree in Economics, Finance, Marketing or Engineering (MBA a plus).Advanced Skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Excellent oral and written communication skills - fluent in English (other languages a plus).Proactive approach, and ability to work well under pressure.Proven success delivering results in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.Working knowledge of automotive industry is desirable.Experience with Demantra, Oracle, vehicle (e.G., IHS, KGP) market database a plus.Strong technical and commercial skills a plus
