- ** Vendor Management**: Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with print vendors and suppliers. Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery conditions.
- ** Team Coordination**:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, production staff, procurement, account management and sales representatives to ensure seamless execution and communication.
- ** Cost Management**: Monitor and control print procurement budgets. Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- ** Quality Assurance**: Ensure that all procured print materials and services meet the company's quality standards and specifications. Address any quality issues with vendors and implement corrective actions as needed.
- ** Process Optimization**: Streamline procurement processes to improve efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and enhance overall procurement operations.
- ** Market Research**: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies in print production. Provide recommendations for adopting new methods or materials that can benefit the company.
- ** Reporting**: Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, vendor performance, and market trends to senior management.
**Qualifications**
- Associate's degree in Management, Graphic Design, Marketing, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field strongly preferred or commensurate education, training, and experience required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial print production, print buying, or print program management
- High degree of proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and proficiency in project management software and tools
- 1 year supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of print production processes and technologies
- Excellent professional level written and verbal communication skills - ability to interface and communicate effectively with multiple functional groups, geographic regions, different levels of internal and external client organizations
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, other departments, and interact with various work behavior styles
- Highly self-motivated with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines within an ever-changing, fast-paced environment
- Must exercise judgment to make high level decisions that will result in a positive impact to the team and company
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Leadership qualities needed for providing direction, influencing, and motivating others
- Proficient ability to read, write, converse in, and understand
