**Title**: Commodity Specialist

**Reports to**: General Manager

**Benefits**: Administrative

The Commodity Specialist will develop and implement cost reduction strategies in raw material as well as be fully responsible for negotiating and establishing the terms, conditions and pricing with new agreements based on our cost quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead all phases on sourcing process (NDA, Quotes, specs, samples, results, etc)
- Work with the product development and engineering team to provide solutions based on needs.
- Lead negotiation phases (contract, terms and conditions, Warranty, Payment, etc.)
- Maintain relationships with current suppliers as well as review and improve purchasing terms: MOQ, lead times, pricing, vendor contact information, etc.
- Review and present results to managers on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Commodity specialist will provide support to the R&D and procurement department to source new parts and material for new and existing products.
- Drive workshops with correlated teams to develop and implement ideas that help to minimize total cost of raw materials.
- Drive the supplier selection, qualification, development, and overall supplier management, including managing the entire contract life cycle from request for proposal to supplier exit

**Education & Experience Requirements**:

- **Education**:Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- **Languages**: English 90%, Knowing Chinese is plus
- **Experience**: 3+ years

- Travel 20% of the time (in MX and US)
