BorgWarner Fuel Systems and Aftermarket is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as a Commodity Manager.
In this role, and under direct supervision of the Purchasing Manager, the Commodity Manager will search for opportunities and implement savings projects, as well as develop parts, components and processes with strategic suppliers, in coordination with the Purchasing Manager and the global commodity management group.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Commercially align strategic suppliers that help create value for the company through price competitiveness and long-term cost reduction commitment.
- Maintain updated prices in the ERP system.
- Negotiate / Achieve improvements in raw material prices, under a local supplier development program or supplier substitution in coordination with the Purchasing Manager and the global purchasing group.
- Manage commodities based on the global market with periodic adjustments as applicable.
- Ensure that the supplier base complies with BorgWarner's terms and conditions.
- Creation, review and approval of commercial contracts (NDA/ AL/ GT&C/VMI/Schedule Agreement/AIF) with direct suppliers.
- Creation, execution and monitoring of cost reduction projects according to the annual budget.
- Participate and obtain the approval of the Sourcing Board of the business budget proposals required in the development of their savings projects or new programs, as necessary.
- Create the price reduction strategy for raw materials, negotiation, new/double supply, volume increase, VA/VE, process improvement, etc.

- Costing and estimation of the bill of materials for new programs or modifications of the current product.
- Location and development of suppliers in strategic regions for the company.
- Actively participate with the multifunctional project team in the development of components or processes.
- Control and management of prices (fluctuation of the raw material market and exchange rate).
- Guarantee and confirm the productive capacity of suppliers.
- Actively participate in the Annual Final Inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Electrical Engineer, Electronic Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Administration Degree or related field.
- Time of experience in a similar position: 5 years or more in a similar position.
- Technical knowledge required: Quality Systems, Supplier Development, Project Management, Costs, Manufacturing Processes.
- Other Knowledge: Microsoft Office, SAP-ERP.
- English: Proficient.
