Through a respectful, inclusive and collaborative culture, a career at Flex offers the opportunity to make a difference, invest in your career growth and join our purpose - to make great products that create value and improve people's lives.Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Commodity Manager Mechanical located in San Luis Rio Colorado, SonoraReporting to the Sr Director, Commodity Management Mechanical, the Commodity Manager Mechanical's role involves:What a typical day looks like:- Responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and management of global strategies to provide Flex segments and business groups with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance (focus on Mechanical commodities).- Working closely with the Supply Chain team / Local Management, the Commodity Manager will communicate and implement strategies, contracts, and pricing to all regions with an overall focus on maintaining good supplier relationships and costs to a minimum to achieve maximum advantage for the company and its customers.- Establish and manage long term strategic and core supplier relationships and will engage with Flex sites and business segments- Guide the selection, development and management of Core and Strategic Suppliers to meet commodity costs and performance goals- Organize and manage the commodity team with a focus on talent acquisition, retention and development and performance appraisal.- Implement programs for supplier selection, supplier performance management and supply base optimizationThe experience we're looking to add to our team:- Advances English- Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience- Provide Quotation centers with support from core and strategic suppliers to obtain competitive and timely quotes- Monitor current commodity market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges.
