**Position Title: Commodity Manager - Interior Trim**
**Reports to: Finance Director**
**Work Location: Saltillo, Mexico**
We have an exciting opportunity for a creative and strategic individual who is passionate about problem solving! The **Commodity Manager - Interior Trim** will be responsible for generating and updating strategies to support sustainable cost reductions and supplier quality improvements, track and report monthly financial impacts, manage overall supplier relationships, and develop + implement continuous improvement concepts.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Ensure flow of materials is sustained for plants under the scope of responsibility
- Implementation of previously planned cost savings initiatives in order to meet savings targets
- Develop new cost savings initiatives and work cross-functionally to drive closure
- Generate sub-commodity strategies supporting product plans, and aligned to key stakeholders
- Obtaining Motus Sourcing Board approval for all new sourcing actions
- Lead supplier negotiations, including contract management and development agreements
- Forecast materials market movements and develop mitigation plans to smooth volatility
- Ensure that price changes aligned to contracts, and raw material index are accurate and timely
- Be recognized as the commodity expert - products, process, technology, suppliers, and economics (Index/Market Pricing)
- Support commodity specific data preparation and analysis for Weekly Staff Meeting, Mgt updates, and monthly Business Operating System reviews
- Analyze and intelligently execute tradeoffs between unit prices and working capital
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with responsible scope of buy - ensure supply is protected
- Manage ERP Administration (PO, Invoices, etc)
- Support Launch Team activities
- Support Business Development activities
- Monitor and manage Directed Suppliers (total cost management)
- Establish "target pricing" (pre-program award)
- Lead and support selection processes for material on new product development
- Identify and develop new suppliers that fit the strategy and required capabilities
- Manage key internal stakeholders to achieve alignment on continuous improvement opportunities
- Prepare and present executive communications
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor's Degree, MBA is preferred.
- 7-9 years' experience related to Purchasing, Materials Management or Contracts
- Knowledge of the automotive interior products industry.
- Ability to understand raw material markets (resins, foam chemicals, etc)
- Understanding of PLEX ERP software a plus
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel - pivot tables, sorting, filtering, etc.)
- Outstanding communication, detail oriented, self-driven, professional written skills, and negotiation skills are essential for success in this position
- Ability to travel up to 25% is required
