**_PRIMARY FUNCTION:_**
The primary function of this role includes leading the development, management, and oversight of common platforms of standard supply chain processes; and develop strategies through consensus building to implement cost effective improvements for Eaton Controls and Protection.
This function is accountable for developing strategic supplier alliances, ensuring supplier performance, the reduction of total supply chain costs and improving quality and service delivery throughout the supply chain system.
In addition, this function develops long term category strategic planning, creates category metrics, and ensures are aligned, deployed and meet the requirements of the Supply Chain Management function and CPD operations.
**_ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: _**
- Developing commodity strategies to leverage CPD Business, generate cost-out, reduce supply base, and improve quality and service performance.
- Initiate, develop and execute division strategic initiatives to facilitate cross-business synergies and increased leverage across a rationalized set of preferred supplier partners.
- Negotiates and manages key strategic supplier contracts including agreements.
- Benchmark procurement processes and develops and implements best practices throughout Eaton Supply Chain Management and current commodity market.
- Reviews, approves, monitors and reports compliance to commodity agreements and strategies based upon Eaton SCM strategic directions.
- Identify and remove upstream Supply Chain constraints across CPD Business.
- Identifies and implements innovative solutions to business problems, independently and through high performance cross-functional teams.

- Reduction of unit pricing for direct material purchases
- Improved inventory availability by commodity
- Align ES-Americas Cost out goal for Sourcing on SAVMAT by $3.9M
- Drive initiatives to increase SC Flexibility for CPD reducing LT and with Localization initiatives
- Identify second sources supporting ES-Americas and CPD Resiliency Plan
- Standardized Eaton customized material to reduce SC complexity.
- Contribute to the CPD Sites Operational Goals: SFR, OTP, Inventory reduction, DPO Improvement, CONC Reduction (Premium Freight)
- Improve Suppliers Performance (Tier I & II) Metrics: OTD, DPPM and DMRs.
**Qualifications**:
**_ SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:_**
- Professional degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in commodity management OR minimum five (5) years of procurement/supply chain experience.
- English Level: Proficient.
- Has Project Management functional knowledge expertise combined with a strong process and system thinking mindset to consistently make quality operational decisions when ambiguity may exist.
- Subject matter expert in identifying and understanding current trends in supply chain management specific to commodity.
- Advanced PC skills (MS Office, MS Project, AS400/Mapics, MS Outlook)
- Preferred: Experience in controlling costs, materials warehouse, APICS, Eaton Quality Systems (EQS), Enovia document control system and / or area of Manufacturing.
- Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong Negotiation skills
