Eaton's VEH Vehicle Group division is currently seeking a Commodity Manager Supply Chain.
**What you'll do**:
Leads the development, management and oversight of common platforms of standard supply chain processes; and develops regional strategies through global alignment and consensus building to implement corporate-wide cost effective improvements for Eaton Vehicle Group world-wide. This function is accountable for developing strategic supplier alliances, ensuring supplier performance, the reduction of total supply chain costs and improving quality and service delivery throughout the supply chain system. In addition, this function develops long term commodity strategic planning, creates commodity metrics and ensures commodity strategies are aligned, deployed and meet the requirements of the Supply Chain Management across the world-wide Vehicle Group operations. Position is accountable for effectively implementing Eaton's strategic plan and managing measurable results.
- Manages regional commodity spend for NA Vehicle Group Long Steel b (bar) >$50MM annual spend
- Negotiates regional commercial and Long Term Agreements for supply into multiple VG locations and with suppliers located throughout the world.
- Forecasts impact of commodity fluctuation to the business units and actively participates in the corporate governance council for forecasting the effect of commodity fluctuations within the company.
- Develops supplier capacity plans in coordination with global product growth strategy
- Aligns supplier manufacturing strategy with business and customer growth strategies to achieve Profit Plan and Strategic Plans.
- Drives the development and implements supplier roadmap strategies to delivery annual cost savings
- Develops sustainable cost out pipeline to enable year over year cost savings
- Assure the link between Gobal Category strategy and Regional needs also supporting regional and global business growth and
- Technical development
- Leads the NA steel commodity management and advises the business groups on the impact of changing economic and market trends
- Develops and deploys the Steel Commodity strategy for global Suppliers of this commodity by incorporating the regional needs of the VG business and the corporate initiatives necessary to achieve maximum operations effectiveness.
- Manages key performance metrics for this commodity to ensure achievement of the goals for Cost out, Economics, DPO, Supply base rationalization, supplier capacity, supply base growth readiness, resourcing, etc.
- Develop strong relationships with key global strategic suppliers
- Directs and assists in the resolution of regional supplier performance issues."
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or business administration from an accredited institution
- A minimum of 5 years supply chain or Sales, Engineering, Business Management related experience in a manufacturing organization, for Direct Material
**Skills**:
- Direct Material experience
- Market Steel knowledge is a desire
- Experience on negotiation and development with local and global suppliers.
