Communications SpecialistJob ResponsibilitiesPosts and maintainscommunications on electronic boards and websites related to events, programs,and departmental/institutional initiatives.Provides routinecontent maintenance including creating new webpages, updating text, images, andvideo.
Implements processes and guidelines to ensure web content is current andaccurate.
Analyzes site effectiveness to continuously drive usage.Develops content thatcan be deployed to enhance the awareness of organizational offerings.
Supportsproject implementations using established communication strategies.Participates in thedevelopment of end user feedback strategies including customer satisfactionsurveys and focus groups.Writes various internaland external communications that may include writing, editing, marketing,blogging, and social media communication vehicles.EducationBachelor's Degree inrelated fieldExperienceAt least 2-3 years ofexperience in digital content and strategyAdvanced knowledge ofCMS (Content Management System) Experience in videoediting is a strong plus, comfort with social media is a must.Experience with digitalmarketing, social media, and web design platforms.Experience in healthcare, education and/or mission-driven organizations a plus.Excellent written andverbal communication skillsAppreciates andunderstands the connection between individual goals, departmental goals, andthe organizational mission.Always demonstratesintegrity and ethics.Maintains a flexibleand forward-thinking approach to the way work is done.Maintains ateam-oriented approach and possesses the ability to cultivate positive andcollegial workplace relationships.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to workindependently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptable, and possessinga positive attitude.Ability to multi-taskand work under pressure; ability to prioritize competing demands and completeaction items efficiently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
