The Communications Manager will oversee all Sailors for the Sea's communication tools, including email marketing, social media, and public relations, to engage, educate, and activate sailors and boaters towards restoring ocean health. The Communications Manager will create content for these various platforms to position Sailors for the Sea as a leader in ocean advocacy and sustainability in the sailing sector. The Communications Manager will work on many different projects or needs on any given day and should be comfortable meeting tight deadlines and managing requests from diverse stakeholders.The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong analytic and creative ability as well as effective communication and people skills. This candidate should be capable of quickly adapting to new situations, taking on challenges of unfamiliar tasks, and drawing on past successes and failures to solve current problems. This position reports to the Director, Sailors for the Sea and is based in Newport, RI.Founded in 2001, Oceana is the largest international advocacy organization dedicated solely to ocean conservation.
