The objective of this five-year project is to increase hectares under sustainable management, accelerate profitable and integrated productive systems, and contribute to GHG emissions and deforestation reductions, while improving smallholder producers' livelihoods in Southeastern Mexico (Chiapas, Oaxaca, Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo). In this position, the Communications Specialist will support the team in all communication matters including coordination with the donor and the other consortium partners.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:The Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing focused marketing, communication, and media strategies to help drive project strategy. They help facilitate on-going communication according to the requirements of SPC and the donor, and in alignment with TNC's regional and global communications teams. The primary audiences for this communication strategy include rural communities in Southeastern Mexico, businesses with sustainability strategies related to the value chains in the project, state governments, project partners and donors. They coordinate projects and manage timelines and specific deliverables with the TNC team and the donor. They use TNC's code of conduct and competencies as a guide for their actions and to be an example for others
