POSITION SUMMARY Maintain and continuously improve compliance programs in support of the company's international trade activities; and to conduct trade programs that bring duty and other cost savings to the company. Assure compliance with the numerous, technical, legal and regulatory requirements associated with the company's cross-border movements of goods and services; to mitigate the risk ofsuch activities; and to optimize the financial impact of the company's trade activities through trade program management. RESPONSIBILITIES Development and enhancement plan for trade compliance; execute implementation. Day to day management of multiple trade compliance programs (e.G., R8, PROSEC, Maquila, ETC.) Day to day management of multiple trade optimization programs (e.G., FTAs, drawback, suspension) Support strategic trade partnerships (e.G., C-TPAT, AEO, VAT) Responsible for trade compliance auditing in the region Local Point of contact for government authorities Coordination of regulatory compliance with other internal responsible parties (e.G., EH&S) Supervise work of leaders, specialists, supervisor, analysts and coordinators Ensure the quality (accuracy, completeness) of trade data Support the efforts for trade and compliance Maintenance and enhancement of processes and procedures on regulated trade activities (imports, exports, trade programs) Training of trade related matters to operational personnel Auditing/Monitoring of trade related operational activities Resolution of compliance events (government audits and inquiries; internal support on compliance issues) QUALIFICATIONS University degree. Legal/logistics experience also advantageous. 10+ years of relevant experience Fluent written and spoken English required. MX Customs Law. Foreign Trade Rules. IMMEX Program.
