Competitive Package + Car + Company benefits A leading Regional Waste Management and Materials Processing Business is looking for someone to manage the environmental, quality and operations with a view to ensuring overall legislative compliance on their regional sites.
Key Responsibilities Responsible for sampling, testing (e.g., but not limited to regulatory classifications and loss on ignition testing) and interpretive analysis of waste materials and resources handled by the organization – including incoming materials, on-site evaluations, and assessments prior to export to other facilities, disposal, and/or reprocessing pathways.Maintain a strong understanding of industry regulations and follow best practices to ensure the organization remains compliant.Conduct and oversee audits in relation to the above, ensuring thorough evaluation across all business stages.Communicate regularly with clients and brokers to ensure compliance with inputs and the removal of non-compliant contaminants or other contrary materials.Collaborate with testing laboratories to ensure timely, consistent, and high-quality data reporting for sample results and analyses across all relevant facilities.Coordinate and cooperate effectively with colleagues, including peers, supervisors, and operations personnel, to achieve business objectives.Produce operational reports as required, including sub-datasets needed for any operational or business-related purposes.Participate in meetings as needed.Manage and support the team to ensure timely completion of all required reports and information by deadlines.Take responsibility for personal health and safety, as well as the safety of others during business activities, both on company premises and on clients' sites or elsewhere. Report any unsafe conditions appropriately.Provide support to the team in identifying new business opportunities and contribute to the growth and development of the organization.Manage any personnel assigned under your supervision, whether on a temporary or permanent basis.Attend training and development programs as directed.Liaise with regulatory bodies, such as environmental or safety agencies, to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
