.The Compliance Engineer (CE) will have the primary responsibility of communicating and interacting with Vertiv's customers, local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), third party Professional Engineers, etc. with the outcome of those interactions being approval and certification of Vertiv's module design. The CE will develop and provide all necessary information in the way of written reports, product documents, Engineering Data and practices as needed to assist Vertiv's customers, module manufacturers and integrators to obtain agency certifications and permits.The CE will also assist the Project Lead Engineer and Project Manager with the coordination of all in-process inspections of the material used to build the module, module manufacturing and equipment integration that may be required by the AHJ.The CE will also be required to review Vertiv's modular design drawings prior to submittal to verify they meet the customer's project specifications, as well as the local, national and international building codes adopted by the region that the module is destined for.It is a requirement that the CE will have a background in Electrical, Mechanical (Thermal) and/or Structural/Architectural Engineering in order to completely understand the overall design concept of the module design and to be more efficient when there is a need to communicate and interact with the Customer, the AHJ and the Engineering team that is responsible for the design being reviewed.The CE will be responsible for compliance of all Vertiv Americas IMS Designs for both the Product (Standard) and Project (Custom) Engineering teams.When not involved with a compliance assignment, the CE will be available for assignment to an IMS modular design project. As a Design Engineer working on a IMS Modular design project, the CE will provide general design configurations for Data Centers, Telecommunications Central Office, Switching Centers, Video Hub Offices, etc. and will work directly with the module integration facility to develop a detailed drawing package for the integration of all equipment systems associated with their specific discipline.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Communicate with Vertiv customers, local AHJs, Vertiv's Module manufacturing partners, etc. to confirm that Vertiv's module design drawings comply with the local, national and international building codes as required for the specific region that the module will be deployed.- Develop responses and provide the necessary documentation to the customer, local AHJ or the module manufacturers as needed to comply with the comments and requests made by AHJ.- Manage and Support contracted integration companies to provide a detailed Schematic Design(SD), Detail Design(DD) and Construction Drawing(CD) narrative for electrical design aspects of the solution- Collaborate with other disciplines and external partners - General contractors or architects to create a construction document set
