This role will report to the Financial Services Compliance Director in Mexico.Role Responsibilities:Conducting the risk assessment, management, as well as the implementation of the compliance programme for financial services.Ensuring compliance with financial regulations (SOFIPO), coordinating the process of design and creation of processes, risk identification and implementation of controls (internal control).Conducting in-depth research on regulatory frameworks, mainly related to the operations of financial institutions in Mexico.Leading project management efforts for the implementation of new regulations, with a focus on financial services and related processes.Keeping teams informed about regulatory changes, filing guidelines, and compliance requirements.Providing guidance and compliance advice to teams based on regulatory insights for establishing new processes or controls.Handling official communications with authorities and prepare comprehensive reports, namely regarding critical inquiries, inspections and audits.Liaising with cross-functional teams to enhance systems and processes related to compliance.Supporting the Financial Services Compliance Director in day-to-day responsibilities and risk assessments.Coordinating drafting and rollout of local compliance documents.Identifying, coordinating, and conducting local and global compliance training, as well as rising awareness activities.Responding to compliance queries from the business, and escalate as necessary.Assisting in the preparation for monitoring and audit reviews and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.Preparing executive reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.Training the different teams and contribute to consolidating the culture of compliance, creating awareness with internal stakeholders
