**Based at**:Southwest University, 1414 Geronimo El Paso, TX 79925- We will sponsor a work visa for Non U.S. citizens or residents.- Must have a current Passport**Job Summary**:This position is responsible for delivering effective, high quality instruction in their content area that produces unmatched results and students understanding.**Job responsibilities**:- Delivers exceptional instruction in assigned content area(s) that ensures academic growth for all students.- Master the necessary content knowledge and skills to successfully teach assigned content area(s).- Develops and maintains lesson plans in compliance with program requirements to ensure delivery of course content areas.- Provides an encouraging and supportive learning environment recognizing student accomplishments and achievements.- Maintains accurate records of student's achievement and complete progress reports and report cards promptly and as scheduled.- Compiles student work into portfolio in compliance with program requirements.- Encourages student use of technology.- Maintain availability for weekly tutoring sessions or student assistance upon request.- Assess special needs of students and provide information and appropriate referral in consultation with program coordinator.- Punctually attend and positively contribute at all staff meetings, project team meetings, professional development, In-Service and special events.- Able to withstand physical requirements such as sitting, walking and bending for long periods of time.- Performs other duties as requested by Director.- Promotes school Mission amongst students.**Technical Requirements**: High level of COMPTIA knowledge, Strong organizing, planning, networking, documenting, public speaking, team building, verbal and written communication skills, and computer literacy.
