In this role, you will perform testing and inspections in transportation projects. This is an entrance-level position.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESContact supervisor for priorities and deadlines.Apply engineering principles and techniques to ensure construction compliance.Conduct research and problem-solving.Prepare testing and inspection reports daily.Inspect materials and construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.Handle problem calls from producers, suppliers, inspectors, and field personnel.Review correspondence and coordinate inspection schedules.Advise supervisor of inspection activities and problems.Calculate payments due to contractors or subcontractors for completed work.Consult with project engineers and contractors' superintendents on work progress and construction problems.Oversee construction record-keeping activities and prepare reports.Document work progress and issues arising throughout the project scope.Perform other assigned job responsibilities
