Global Workplace Projects is a global department managing end-to-end construction processes enabling capacity growth within the LEGO Group.
The main area covers production site expansions or major building modifications at several locations in the world.
As part of Global Workplace Projects MX team, the Construction Team Lead will be responsible for the construction project management of the ongoing and new construction projects within LEGO operations Mexico.
Core Responsibilities

This person will report directly to the Head of Workplace Projects MX.
Responsible for coordinating the work of internal construction Project Managers, as well as coordinate designers, consultants, and contractors.
The person will detail coordinate and manage of deliveries from LEGO Specialists.
Elaborate and keep updated the project time schedule.
Coordinate all meetings with construction suppliers, safety, progress, quality, etc.
Coordinate safety and quality activities together with QEHS managers.
Support Commercial Manager (CM) to create budget and financial follow up different project stages.
Manage handover of completed building to the other streams such as logistics, warehouse, local facility management.
Coordinate progress payments and contract closure activities.
Do you have what it takes?
- 10 to 15 years of experience with construction project management, with specific focus on industrial building projects is strongly preferred.
Bachelors on construction management, architecture, building/facility management or civil engineering or similar is a plus.
- Worked in international /multinational companies.
- Knowledge in legal and commercial aspects within building industry.
Knowledge of European construction standards is a plus.
- Experience in environmentally friendly construction
- Language: Advanced English.
Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing and comfortable in communicating complex ideas both in Spanish and English
- Customer focus and service minded person with strong focus on internal customer relations and processes and a strong sense of collaboration
- Proven functional expertise with focus on quality assurance for the construction work
- Mind set matching with The LEGO Group Values
- AutoCAD and Office 360programs proficiency.
