.**Job Description**:A junior permitting program manager is responsible for supporting the project team in identifying and procuring necessary permits, authorizations, licenses, approvals, concurrences, etc., required to own, construct, install, operate, maintain, and decommission subsea cable systems worldwide. The position will be part of the Impact assessment permitting team, and will assist in ensuring that all permits, notifications and licenses are identified and obtained in a timely manner for installation the of subsea cable projects. The position includes assisting the stakeholder liaison as well as supporting Environmental Assessments.Many of the tasks and activities undertaken by this role require specialist knowledge of marine cable permits, survey and installation.A structured in-house training and development program will provide this knowledge and help personal career development.**Responsibilities**:- Support the Permitting Manager with regular updates of the internal permitting database and continued development of permitting capability.- Assist with the development of feasibility Studies.- Permit budget tracking and forecasting- Research and analysis of regulatory requirements in various countries and their potential implication on project elements and schedules- Review and liaise with Ramboll and subsea cable supplier personnel, permitting agencies, and the customers to define permit requirements and outline approaches for procuring permits in subsea cable transit and landing countries- Prepare and deliver presentations to permitting agencies- Provide permitting expertise to other organizations supporting the subsea cable projects- Management of subcontractors and in country agents, for permit scoping and risk analysis, permit acquisition, biological/archaeological/other environmental support studies- Ability to travel internationally to investigate potential landing sites and meet with in-country permitting agencies to discuss requirements associated with telecom and power subsea cable installations.- Work on developing relationships within the marine, coastal and terrestrial environments aligned with the submarine telecom and power industries.**Qualifications**:- Minimum BS/BA degree, MS/MA preferred.- 3-5 years experience in permitting or regulatory framework, either permit acquisition or agency experience.- Strong oral and written communications skills (Bilingual English/Spanish required)- Excellent presentation skills, including ability to communicate and negotiate across a wide range of clients, regulators and and organizations; and awareness of, and sensitivity to international cultures.- Knowledge of subsea cable regulatory and permitting requirements.- Basic understanding of marine environmental/ecological sensitivities.- Proficient technical report writing skills- Basic knowledge of subsea cable engineering and construction practices
