Responsible for managing supplier relations at a tactical level, may negotiate product cost, and utilizing terms and conditions, working with internal customers to reduce product cost, improve the supply chain and evaluate supplier performance, and executing purchase orders and manages raw material inventory.
Accountabilities in this role Review requirements "MRP" and place orders for assigned products within appropriate time frames.Ensure timely delivery of products, materials, and supplies.Assess, determine, and communicate resolution of supplier problems that pertain to service level and inventory issues; Phase In Phase Out coordination (RM's Savings Projects); Accounts Payable issues resolution - related to RM suppliers; Supply Chain Optimization (LSS Projects); RM Quality issues resolution / credit collection; RM Inventory Management; Manage Supplier relationships.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal customers (manufacturing, warehouse, planning) and external customers (Plants in Mexico, Dominican Republic and other subcontractors).What is expected of you for success in your role Demonstrates advanced knowledge of purchasing concepts and principles, including best practices.Analyzes and develops recommendations for contract terms and business requirements.Manages purchasing activities to provide deliverables within the stated performance and quality parameters.Identifies opportunities for improvements to service, inventory, and quality.Competencies
