To learn more visit Balfour.Com, the destination for Graduation products, and GradImages.Com, the industry's largest commencement photography platform.POSITION Summary:The Staff Accountant will assist in the month-end and quarter-end close processes, prepare journal entries, account and bank reconciliations, and support Cost Accounting and Financial Reporting during peak processing periods.Essential position Functions:Prepare journal entries and support schedules monthly for various processes, including amortizations, accruals and other recurring activitiesPrepare and maintain monthly account reconciliationsReview corporate accounts monthly, ensuring all reconciling items and discrepancies are tracked sufficiently and resolved in a timely mannerPrepare audit schedules for internal and external auditorsProvide clerical support for the Cost, Tax, and General Accounting areas during peak processing periodsAssist in the financial reporting process as needed, including in the collection of supporting financial data and tie-out and review of reporting documentsPerform a variety of other routine and/or non-routine functions and ad-hoc projects as assignedSPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:Organized, detail oriented, flexible, and able to handle multiple assignments with minimal supervisionAbility to work with sensitive information and maintain a high degree of confidentialityExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with MS Office applications, Excel requiredEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business degree preferred0-2+ years of accounting experienceManufacturing accounting experience is a plus, but not requiredJDEdwards, NetSuite or AS400 experience is a plusContpaq knowledgeWORK DETAILS:Type: Full-timeSalary: $18,000.00 - $22,000
