Job Location: El Salto, Jalisco Summary: Position committed to quality and food safety carrying out activities directly and indirectly designing, developing, obtaining, manufacturing, distributing and/or selling our products to satisfy our customers and consumers.
Analyze manufacturing and management processes. Develop understanding of key process indicators through all Supply Chain areas. Use analytical tools to identify key input variables and establish internal controls. Find ways to avoid waste and inefficiency in the processes within the supply chain, designing efficient systems that integrate workers, information, machines, energy and materials for the manufacture and distribution of our products.
Develop, document, and implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies, continually reviewing production flow to identify breakdowns and weaknesses.
Responsibilities: Processes improvement and Margin expansion Analyze complex manufacturing and management processes. Develop understanding of key process indicators through all Supply Chain areas. Use analytical tools to identify key input variables and establish internal controls. Identify and implement improvements to operating and business standards using engineering principles and creativity. Participate and support portions of predefined Engineering projects. Provide technical analysis for losses identification. Make appropriate recommendations and participate in the design and implementation. Support plant equipment and production lines start-up improvement if needed. Participate in the development of specific capital projects through completion. Provide direction and support to the formulation, evaluation, strategy setting and presentation of product and process improvement alternatives. Lead kaizen events. Develop and support Hershey lean pillars in Plant. Identify and implement process improvements such as Safety, Quality, and Plant Efficiency. Work with Project Engineering team to ensure that new capital equipment designs meet productivity requirements. Support loss analysis and savings definition on the Capital Projects presentation. Education: Industrial Engineer, Food Process Engineer, Chemical Engineer or related field and/or equivalent required experience. Lean six sigma green belt. Experience: English Advanced OEE analysis & improvement. Downtime analysis, rework waste, % scrap. Line balancing, implementation of work methods, savings projects, project monitoring, lean manufacturing culture. Engineering fundamentals (Industrial engineering highly preferred). Quality assurance and quality control principles. Process engineering. Development and interpretation of Engineering documentation. Best Manufacturing practices. Technical Knowledge: SAP Experience implementing TPM methodology in another industry (Food industry preferred). Continuous improvement systems and methodologies including Lean Six Sigma tools. Ergonomic design. Regulatory/code/standards compliance. Excel intermediate-advanced. Visio & Power Bi preferred.
