Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics or related field (Master's a plus)

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in cross functional, program/project management experience Minimum 5 years working in a continuous improvement format, with accountability to deliver results Experience in manufacturing, operations management, or supply chain would be a plus Minimum of 5 years' experience leading Black Belts with improvement projects across several Supply Chain functions (TPM implementation leader a plus) Objective: This position is responsible for fostering, promoting, and deploying Continuous Improvement methodologies following the Lean Production System (LPS). This individual plays a critical role in the identification of and facilitation of regional improvement strategies, potentially across multiple business units.
Main functions: Facilitate and integrate the philosophy of Lean Production System (LPS) into the culture of the business. Support operations to ensure production of a quality product, deliver against our committed customer service goals, and optimize efficiency/productivity. Motivate, coach, and instill good management skills in all employees engaged in the CI learning process. Establish a strong presence on the manufacturing floor (Gemba) to set and communicate expectations, standards, and evaluate results so all employees understand expectations. Promote the use of Daily Lean Management (DLM) consisting of shop floor production meetings, Gemba walks, and Tiered board implementation. Promote the use of leader standard work and world class 5S in all aspects of the business. Use problem solving skills to identify gaps in processes, capabilities, and culture and identify/suggest countermeasures to close those gaps. Lead project selection workshops to identify the highest cost take out projects and coordinate the various project teams assigned to ensure proper resourcing to drive completion of these projects. Drive policy deployment strategies so all employees have a clear understanding of goals and objectives for a successful fiscal year. Initiate and lead employee Lean Six Sigma training to further instill the continuous improvement skill set in the organization. Lead Kaizen events in all aspects of the organization to improve business results. Extract useful data from a variety of systems to facilitate identification of improvement opportunities. Coordinate the work necessary to improve our overall CI results as measured by regularly scheduled audits. Assist in establishment metrics, generating reporting tools and progress reporting for CI. Manage the communication process to present (report out) the status of CI implementation. Identify material or process flow abnormalities and use unique methods to streamline the process. Identify opportunities for automation, in conjunction with Engineering, to remove/lesson ergonomic strains or repetitive actions.
