They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.- What your background should look like:- Primary Duties & Responsibilities:- Reviews workflows and layouts to identify opportunities for waste reduction following Creating Continuous Flow, 3P and Making Material flow methodologies.- Designs and implements production cells and/or high performance stations, standard works and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.- Work closely with the engineering and operations leaders to integrate develop processes as part of lean manufacturing and continues improving activities. Be an agent of change for continuous improvement.Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.- Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.- Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.- Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques to reduce/eliminate process variation.- Provides guidance and coaching to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.- Conduct optimization studies and perform detailed engineering analysis of existing facilities, systems & process equipment.- Lead equipment improvement activities across all plants for all areas through Measurement, Analysis, Improvement and Control.Requirements and Qualifications:- A strong background in Engineering, Leans Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices- Six Sigma Green Belt training or Black Belt.- Advanced English- Minimum 6 years of experience related to continuous improvement practices.
