.TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.**What your background should look like**:**Responsibilities**:- Active participation in End to End Kaizen projects- Capable of understanding Lean measurables concepts such as Value Stream Mapping, BOP, BOM, Waste, Theory of Constraints, Lean Layout, 5S, IPC, Operator Work Balance, Shared loading equipment, Quick CHO, SMET, TPM- Capable of understanding Minor Lean measurables concepts such as Process Cycle Time, Lead Time, MTTR, MTBF, SQ footage, CHO, Downtime, Travel/Conveyor, WIP, Takt Time- Quality concepts as PFMEA, DFMEA, Operator Work Instructions, In Process Control, SPC, CPK and Gage R&R,- Working Knowledge of SPC, Capability Analysis, Gage R&R and Statistical Techniques.- Experience with Minitab or other statistical software strongly desirable- Drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost through the use of the TEOA tools and philosophy.- Plays a key role in the capacity planning process and leads the implementation of new supplier engineering changes if needed- Works closely with the launch organization on the seamless launch and introduction of new products and manufacturing processes.- Ensure effective communication with all project stake holders to complete projects on time and on budget.- Evaluate all projects for effectiveness.- Drive KPI improvement including- Functional expert on commodity related issues such as part qualification, quality, delivery, cost, and development.- Work closely with BU Engineering teams over cost reduction through VA/VE and OMP activities
